If you know anything about me you know that I love a good burger.  When you stumble upon a really great burger, that's something to shout about.

My wife, Heather, and I went to Rule of 3 Brewing Co. in East Hampton, CT to meet up with some friends to participate in the Books & Brews event they were having.  When we pulled in I notice the Farm Kitchen truck and thought I would give them a try.

I spoke to Jessica Stone, the owner, and her lovely helper Maybelle.  Both of these ladies were as friendly as could be.  Very bubbly personalities, and very excited to hear that I wanted to review their food.

I ordered the BLTJ Cow Burger.  That's bacon, lettuce, and tomato jam.  There were two hand-pressed patties, all the items listed above, and a thick layer of cheddar cheese.  The bacon was sliced thick and cooked to perfection.  All of this was sandwiched in a homemade bruschetta roll.

I saw that the price was $17 for the burger alone, and thought that may be a little pricey. Not bad, but just a little up there.  That was until I tasted the burger.  The review is on the video above so catch the details, and reaction there. Let's just say I do not think that this burger was overpriced.  It's worth every penny plus a good tip!

The business is based out of Colchester, Connecticut, and they boast that they "bring farm-fresh flavors to the Colchester, and East Haddam Farmers' Markets."  You can see a sign on the window of the truck telling us that they serve "All farm fresh foods grown and raised at Cold Spring Farm."  One taste of their burger, and I knew this to be true.  Fresh is an understatement!

Be sure to visit them on their FaceBook, and Instagram.  Give them likes, follows, comments, and all of that good social media stuff.   It's a good idea to keep an eye on them to find out where they will be next.  I have posted their social media links below for your convenience.
